I remember him bringing me on hikes and roadtrip and even if I didn't always wanted to do it, you know teenagers, I managed to continue on all the adventures.
It was not anything major, the backcountry trips, the roadtrip across the states, the hiking and some other countries explored.
Once I was an adult I continued that drive for adventure and wanted nothing more then my dad to share it with.
When I got married in St-Lucia I made sure we would take a day for us to see each other and go climb gros piton. Unfortunately the heat and the free drinks from the resort did not agree with my dad and after a scare and a few tears we went back down. Instead of being sad for not making it up top another peak I truly had the greatest experience just hanging out with him in the village.
I made a promise to myself to one day bring my dad on another great adventure while we still were able to do it.
We decided on The Inca Trail this coming fall. This is going to be a dream for both of us to share another great adventure but most importantly another time sharing each others passion Together.
