An yes, This year is all about my daughter getting into the indoors but really? I don't think I ever had to force her into doing anything, she is always up for it! This weekend She proved me that she is on strong girl, this was no easy hike for a 3 years old! Good work MJ. You did it, and all by yourself! But the happiness doesn't stop there, she also motivated my best friend to join us too, after all these years I was so happy to be able to share the achievement and reward of a great hike with my bestfriend!
I did however feel very unprepared. Im usually so on the ball but at the last minute I decided to switch up bag. I didn't want to carry my big Osprey bag and decided to wear my older MEC bag. (That is still holding up perfect. And I'm pretty sure this bag is like 16 years old haha)
In the process of changing things up, answering my daughters questions, getting myself ready...I forgot to put the bag with first aid essentials....Not only did I feel completely disappointed in myself but I had to beg for some bandaid and I do not like to do that. So next time, I will do what I usually do and be prepared way in advance with everything because sometimes, especially with a 3 years old, it is so easy to get distracted. Live and learn.
